How to sync your Gmail contacts and Google calender on iPhone?

nuepicLast weekend one of my friend told me that he was apparently very lazy to type all his Gmail contacts on his iPhone (I don’t blame him since he only has like million contacts on gmail). So I went iPhone apps hunting on the net. After countless hours of reading tips on forums and worthless downloads I came across an article featured on TechCrunch yesterday. It is called NuevaSync. NuevaSync is a low profile service that allows a direct OTA (over-the-air) synchronization of Gmail contacts, Google Calendar and Plaxo on popular iPhone/iTouch, smartphones and PDAs. It does not require any software to install on the device and best of all it is a FREE service.

All you have to do is go to Nuevasync, create an account and authorize the service to access your Gmail account. Once thats done, you just have to setup your iPhone/iTouch device. Go to settings from Iphone/Itouch main menu. Select “Mail, Contacts, Calendar”, Select “Add Account”, Choose “Microsoft Exchange”, Enter email account you used to register, Enter your NuevaSync username and password, follow “Next” tabs and just make sure you choose to turn off “Mail” and thats it. It will automatically start synchronizing you Google and Gmail contacts.

To learn more and get detailed instructions on how to setup your iPhone/iTouch and Windows Mobile devices please visit NuevaSync and Signup.
