Microsoft Corp and Yahoo! Inc are joining the Open Book Alliance, a newly formed group of opponents to a class action settlement the Google Book settlement that gives Google Inc the right to commercialize digital copies of millions of books. Amazon.com announced the release of its latest mobile shopping application for Google Android users. The application is called, “Amazon App for Android.” Today, Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) disclosed the details about the highly anticipated Windows 7 operation system, which is expected to be in the stores on October 22, 2009. Starting Friday, consumers in U.S. will be able to pre-order Windows 7 at discounts of more than 50%. Apple’s iTunes has ended the era of 99 cent for all the songs. Apple in January stated that they will end the practice of selling all the songs for 99 cent and began the three prices, 69 cents, 99 cents and $1.29.
