According to some supports in NYtimes suggest that this will help the emergence of a new “social Web” since chattering among friends will help sites that have been entirely unsociable so far. “Everyone is looking for ways to make their Web sites more social,” said Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s chief operating officer to NYTimes. “They can build their own social capabilities, but what will be more useful for them is building on top of a social system that people are already wedded to.” Facebook, once represented as the seemingly boundless promise of the Web 2.0 boom, which now has 120 million members worldwide, is struggling to get its revenue to match its compatitors such as MySpace who have rolled out similar systems. The Pomegranate Phone comes with features which iPhone users can only dream. This phone is loaded with features like Electric Shaver, Coffee Maker, Global Voice Translator and Harmonica…Now this is a true ‘Smart Phone’. Apple engineers are not the only ones who have been dreaming big…haha
Finally, The long anticipated iPhone’s so called true competitor is here. Research in Motion (RIM) launches its first ever touch screen phone, the Blackberry Storm 9530 (Thunder in Europe). The Storm is obviously a response by Verizon wireless and RIM to the success of AT&T (US) exclusive and innovative Apple iPhone. While Apple revolutionized the smartphone technology, the Blackberry is not far behind to make its mark. Is the new Blackberry Storm a real “iPhone killer”? Well, it is a tough decision to make. Being released today on the second largest wireless network in the country (Verizon Wireless). Storm offers the first ‘On screen keyboard: portrait SureType® and Multi-tap, QWERTY landscape keyboard’ and not to mention like other Blackberry models, it is compatible with enterprises Blackberry servers, e-mail integration, security and management features are coupled with a slew of enhancements will quickly attract consumers wanting a sleek iPhone-like design. “It’s a smart move … this could sway iPhone users who want an iPhone that is also an enterprise-type device,” an industry analyst Jack Gold, of J.Gold Associates, told InternetNews.com. The introduction of the Apple’s iPhone, recently released HTC’s G1 and now Blackberry’s Storm a has clearly increased the presence of these devices in the market during our sinking economy.
Don’t get me wrong, this is probably the best thing happen to Xbox 360 and the streaming as well as the quality is great. But, for now it is only possible to watch those in your instant Queue on Netflix.com. There is no way to look for Netflix’s collection from your Xbox 360. So besically you have to go through your computer first and add to your Queue. Which could get frustrating after a while when you have to go through it, unless you have a good size Queue. Subscribers should be able to just sit on their couch and go through the list like you would on OnDemand and sereral others. Also to enjoy all these features you should have Xbox Live Gold and Netflix subscriptions, Netflix streaming service is free as part of New Xbox Experience. For now, so far so good, it is a great start for Microsoft and Netflix. GOOGLE once more released a feature to make GMail users excited to use their email service. I was one of the fortunate Gmail user to get a pop up in my email. Once you get the pop up all you have to do is click on it, go to setting and a theme option should be visible, next to labs. That’s it, you select the theme you like and save. Hopefully, all the Gmail users will be able to play around with the new feature soon.
